An eMaker Huxley RepRap printer's Z-axis stepper motor spiral finial sits on the springy base fitting into the top hole of a plastic spool. Ensure the diameter matches and adjust if necessary when editing STL files. Unfortunately, the original OpenSCAD file has been misplaced; however, it should be easy to recreate and enhance if desired.
