I'm excited to share my custom blade design for the Fingertech Viper combat robot. I decided to take on the challenge of designing and printing my own modifications and weapons for the Viper. To start, I attached some photos and a video showcasing the blade in action. For testing purposes, I printed the blade using PLA, which isn't extremely durable. Despite this, it managed to withstand 4 minutes of testing before showing any signs of wear. Next, I plan to experiment with printing the blade using ABS or PETG for added strength. The attachment process was seamless - the blade snapped into place on the Fingertech blade hub and stayed securely fastened throughout the test period. While plastic blades won't hold up well in combat, especially against metal opponents, they do offer a safer testing environment outside of a controlled arena. These custom designs are intended for educational projects where safety is a top priority. Check out the video of the blade being tested at https://youtu.be/-WfSoFx3tHY
