This is a classic machinist gift or project that has been popular for years. The flywheel toy is entertaining and addictive to have on one's desk for others to play with. To enhance the flywheel effect, print most of the flywheel hollow except for its rim, while the rest can be printed using normal settings. During assembly, ensure that closed holes are pressed in or drilled out and glued in. Note: I have not printed this design myself, so you may need to adjust the shaft hole sizes. Some holes are a free fit, while others require a light press fit. You will also need: - Two flywheels (print with high fill at the rim for added weight) - Two links - A base - A treadle - 1/8" shafts measuring 0.9", 1.6", and 2 1/8" in length.
