Finger Splint / protector
thingiverse
The kitchen chief suffered a minor mishap with a mandolin slicer - always use the holder, of course! The economy-class finger splints at the first aid station looked ridiculously outdated, didn't fit properly and weren't safeguarding the sides of her fingertip so I crafted one for her. I engineered it to work seamlessly with Velcro one-wrap cable ties but you could undoubtedly utilize tape. You can easily scale it up or down in your slicer to suit your needs. The STL is approximately 1.8 centimeters inner diameter and 4 centimeters in length. I incorporated some flats on the side so you can print it sideways to provide maximum strength in the bendy direction.
