Finger spinner 608ZZ (AKA PakoFidget)
thingiverse
There's a lot of awesome designs out there for finger spinners, and they're super trendy right now. I'm really into them, but as always, I wanted my own unique design. Sometimes I carry mine in my pocket and wanted it to have some tactile feedback, so I designed it that way. I also added extra locks to be able to spin them easily inside my pocket. It feels amazing in my hand this way. Plus, using only three bearings makes it fit better in my pocket than a tri-spinner would. That's just my personal preference at the moment. You can choose your own locks - my favorite is the beveled one because it keeps my finger in place while still allowing for smooth spinning inside my pocket. Just install standard 608ZZ bearings or hybrid ones with ceramic balls if you want some serious speed. I only recommend using a ceramic bearing for the center bearing, though, since those are pricey and mainly useful for increased spin speed. The left and right bearings shouldn't be super light, so use regular stainless steel ones to keep the angular momentum high. I'm really into these toys, and my sister-in-law even asked me if I could make some smaller versions for her job as a kid's therapist. I'll definitely create some mini ones using smaller bearings for their tiny hands - stay tuned! For those of you waiting for more, here are the customizer links I came up with: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2030644. Enjoy! UPDATE (10-JAN-2017): I increased the tolerance to minimize sanding at the bearing holes, but left everything else unchanged, including the locks.
