Finger Flexion Limiter

Finger Flexion Limiter

I created this orthosis to help manage a calcification issue I'm dealing with in my hand's volar plate. My doctor told me that this buildup was causing sharp pain in my middle finger knuckle, especially when gripping or making a fist. To prevent further irritation, I designed this device as a reminder to keep my fists loose. My hope is that it will benefit others who are experiencing similar problems. For optimal comfort and flexibility, Ninjaflex would be the ideal material for printing it out. Since everyone's hand size varies, sizing may need to be adjusted accordingly. Once printed, snap attachments can be added to secure it in place. To ensure a smooth fit, edges can be sanded using a Dremel sanding arbor. If necessary, a heat gun can be used to reshape the orthosis after printing.
