Function: - Stops doors from shutting completely - Maintains airflow around the house - Keeps kids/pets confined to the room without it becoming too stifling inside - Prevents parents from yelling at kid 1 for attempting to crash the door into kid 2's face - Attaches securely to the door handle when not in use This design is based on a commercially available product ($25ish) called the door monkey. The door monkey uses springs and buttons, I was aiming for a compliant mechanism version (flexible) How to Use: - Clips onto the door - When closing it hooks onto the door jamb - Open the door from outside by pulling on the hook - Open the door from inside by pressing on the neck (it's easier than it sounds because it's thin)
