The Celestron 5SE telescope comes equipped with a StarSense accessory, leaving no space for a traditional finder scope. I have a spare 9 x 50 right angled finder scope that fits well beneath the StarSense mounting shoe. This setup also works if you prefer to replace the red dot finder with another finder scope, though its rigidity is unguaranteed. To adapt the Celestron Red dot finder to my finder scope adapter and any Skywatcher finder scope shoe, an STL file is available for printing. I recommend using a .2mm layer height and 10% infill. Securing the finder scope in place requires a 3mm diameter bolt and nut, similar to the original accessory shoe setup. Optionally, you can glue the nut into the holder's hexagonal recess to prevent it from loosening.
