I chose to do the shredder machine mechanism because I enjoy watching this machine crush things on youtube and I thought it would be fun to actually try and do one myself. The mechanism is not complicated, it has only 2 gears connected to the actual shredder wheels and they are powered/moved by the crank. The main components are the stand, the holder, the holder top, the funnel, the crank and the actual shredder wheels. There are rigid groups between the gear and the shredder wheel accordingly, but also between the stand (which is grounded), holder and funnel, and revolut joints where needed (crank and shredder wheels).A motion study was done and the fully working mechanism can be seen in the video and gif uploaded.I uploaded the project as f3d and a stl file, but also each component as a different step file.To design and render this mechanism I used Fusion360.I followed Eureka's model, but I added some original touches (modified the crank and the funnel).Bonus: The model was made having the 20x20x20 dimensions in mind, and every part can be printed within those parameters. Also the faces that need to join into each other have the faces offset by 0.2 so they can be joined easily.Notes: The holder top, the stand and the funnel are better printed upside down without needing supports. The shredder wheels need to be printed in a vertical position and need supports. The stand needs to be glued to the holder. The side of the holder is a little inclined so it keeps the top part in place, do not use too stiff printing materials (PLA), instead use something a little flexible but durable (ABS).
