Frieza, known formally as 🏼 Furīza in Japanese, is the reigning Emperor of Universe 7. He exerts total control over his imperial army and instills fear with his reputation for ruthlessness and overwhelming power. A direct descendant of Chilled, the second son of King Cold, Frieza is also the younger brother of Cooler and the father of Kuriza. Frieza's malevolent actions serve as the catalyst for Goku's arrival on Earth, positioning him as the overarching antagonist throughout the entire franchise. His ferocious nature has driven multiple comeback attempts since his climactic battle with Goku on Namek, including numerous invasions of Earth. Most recently, he was selected to represent Universe 7 in the prestigious Tournament of Power as a replacement for Good Buu, securing his title as the most recurring villain within the Dragon Ball series. Following the events of the Tournament of Power, Frieza makes an astonishing recovery and regains his position as Emperor of Universe 7. Frieza assumes the role of main antagonist in the pivotal Namek, Frieza, Trunks, Gods of the Universe, and Golden Frieza Sagas. Notably, he transitions to serve as an anti-hero during the Universe Survival Saga.
