Final Fantasy XI - Nation Flags

These are "Lithophane" models of nation flags from the Square-Enix mmorpg Final Fantasy XI, standing at 100mm on each side and 5mm tall. Currently available models include Windurst, San d'Oria, and Bastok designs. Further designs are planned for release in the future. Print Settings Printer: Powerspec Ultra 3D Printer Rafts: No rafts were used. Supports: Supports were not required. Resolution: The model was printed with a resolution of .1 mm layer height. Infill: Infill density is set at 50%, and less than this may also be acceptable. Notes: A temperature of 190c was used for the nozzle, while the heated bed ran at 60c on polyamide material. Post-Printing The prints exhibited moderate stringing when using Hatchbox Wood Fill PLA, which was subsequently removed with a diamond file. Inland brand PLA produced cleaner prints but lacked the desired surface finish. Design Process The nation flag .jpg files from http://quantumslasher.deviantart.com/ were edited in photo shop to adjust colors and enhance details before being converted into 3D models using the Lithophane tool at http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/.
