The iconic sword from Final Fantasy VII! Created in two versions - one for the Final Fantasy VII remake (as seen in trailer videos) and another from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Reaching 2.1 meters, this massive sword stands out as one of the largest in gaming history and possibly also in 3D printing. Also included are Cloud's left "Bracelets" (both arms) and Shoulder protector! A checklist is provided for printing one of the versions. All files are logically named: (Bed size) - (Colour) - (Part) - (Part nr) - (Series if applicable). Approximately 2.5kg of filament is needed to print this, depending on your settings (calculated with 2 perimeters and 7% infill), and it takes around 6 days non-stop printing. The grip/handle parts could use more infill to prevent accidents while swinging the sword like a hero trying to impress that charming Tifa Lockheart at a convention. Files are sliced for a 300x300x350 bed, with smaller-bed files to follow soon. Alternative blade designs include: * Blade black half full (both versions of the sword) * Blade silver half full * Full blade (both versions of the sword) These can be modified using software like meshmixer or other STL slicing software! The grip comes in two styles: one with a pattern and another with a smooth design to add an own leather strap for a more stylish look! Important note: For internal strength, you can add up to four 8mm rods of about 2 meters (requiring trimming at certain parts), and I suggest including at least one rod that runs through the grip's center and up the entire length of the sword. Also important: When scaling down this version while still using the rods, ensure you resize everything accordingly. The print hole size is 8.3mm to accommodate for potential issues. Since this print takes so long, I'm still working on my own project along with two others independently, and all files seem to be functioning well so far! Lastly, choose your Materia wisely, as you never know what surprises await you in battle! Update: June 25th, 2022 - I've added a new grip version (300x300x350 - Red - Grip V2.stl) that requires no support during printing and might be better suited for handling the sword.
