Final Fantasy VII - Buster Sword - Bracelet - Shoulder pad

cults3d

The iconic sword from Final Fantasy VII! Created in two versions: one from the remake (as seen in trailer videos) and the other from Advent Children. At 2.1 meters, this is one of the largest swords ever featured in gaming history and possibly also in 3D printing history. Additionally, it comes with Cloud's left 'Bracelet' (the right one will be available soon once I find more detailed pictures) and a Shoulder pad! A checklist for printing either version is also provided. All files are logically named: (Bed size) - (Color) - (Part) - (Part number) - (Series if applicable). Approximately 2.5kg of filament is required to print this, depending on your settings (calculated with two perimeters and seven percent infill), and it will take around six days of non-stop printing. The grip/handle parts could benefit from more infill to ensure stability while acting as the hero, especially when trying to impress that lovely Tifa Lockheart at a convention. Files are sliced for a 300x300x350 bed, with files for smaller beds coming soon. There are also files available for: - Blade black half full (both versions of the sword) - Blade silver half full - Full blade (both versions of the sword) These can be sliced to your own specifications using software like Meshmixer or other STL slicing tools! The grip comes in two versions: one with a pattern and another smoothed for added realism. You can even add an own leather strap for a cooler look. [IMPORTANT] For internal strength, you can add up to four 8mm rods of about two meters (requires trimming at certain parts). I suggest adding at least one through the grip's center that goes all the way up the sword's length. [IMPORTANT] If you scale this version down but still want to use the rods, make sure to resize everything accordingly. The hole size for the prints is 8.3mm to account for some prints. [IMPORTANT] Given the length of this print, I haven't finished my own yet, but two other people and I are working on it independently, and so far, all files have worked well! [REALLY IMPORTANT] Choose your Materia wisely; you never know what challenges await you on the battlefield! --- Update 25-06-1028 I've added a second version of the Grip (300x300x350 - Red - Grip V2.stl), which requires no support to print and might be better for holding the sword. I've also included some WIP pictures. If you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
