Fin Cup
thingiverse
To create a spun aluminum coffee cup with a polished interior, begin by leaving the 3D printed base covered in a casting cone. Dip the cup in fine alumina plaster followed by heatproof and fireproof plasters. Remove the base plug after inverting the cup, then heat it to 100°C before raising the temperature to 500°C. Pour molten metal into the cup, jiggle to remove gas bubbles, and let it cool. Break away the plaster, attach a plug, and manually polish the inside using a spinner tool. Grind off the plug, sand, and water-blast for a smooth finish.
