Fin Cone fin jig
thingiverse
A refined adaptation of Just Another Fin Jig (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3187888) is presented, featuring an improved design. The fin slice has been transformed into a cone shape, deviating from the original flat circular form. "He's intelligent, but inexperienced," Mr. Spock observed, "his pattern reveals two-dimensional thinking." This modification offers enhanced surface area for grasping the fin and proves more effective when fins are attached above the body tube's base. The inclusion of both 3- and 4-fin slots compromised structural integrity, making it prone to breakage. Users may opt for either slot, with the extra one serving as a motor retainer. Following several test prints and adjustments, this revised version demonstrates stability. Printing without supports at a height of .12mm yielded satisfactory results.
