The shade consists of three components: a front piece that slides into slots in the side pieces. This allows it to be easily packed away for transport, but if you prefer not to disassemble it, a small amount of glue can be used to keep it permanently assembled. Note that the top edge of the front piece has a curved shape matching the sides, so ensure correct insertion. ###Mounting to the RC### Mounting is straightforward: first secure your phone in the controller, then attach the assembled shade to the front and pull it back until fully seated. The rear locking arms are flexible enough to slide over the rear edge of the controller and keep the shade in place. Removal involves reversing this process. ###Printing Instructions### Before printing, you must decide which front piece to use, as its width is determined by your phone's mounted dimensions. Measure the distance between the two lips on the front of the RC (as indicated by the red arrow). The front pieces are labeled according to these measurements; choose the closest one that is less than or equal to your measurement. For example, if your measurement is 169 mm, select the 166 mm front piece. This ensures proper side piece alignment and avoids interference with stick movement. With the correct front piece selected, import it into your slicer along with the logo.stl file and align them using your slicer's alignment function. If you have a multi-color printer, assign a different color to the logo for visibility. Alternatively, print the logo first, then swap filament and complete the print; however, this requires advanced knowledge of z-hop and is not recommended. I also chose to print the first layers in white and then paused the print to change to black for the inside and outside. You can print in a single color or use paint to minimize reflections on the inside surface. To merge the logo with the rest of the pieces, simply import them into your slicer and let it heal/merge them into one piece if you prefer not to have a separate logo. ###DIY Front Piece### If your printer is too small to print the front piece, download the DIY version, which consists of two smaller parts that fit into slots in the side pieces. Join these with cardboard or suitable material (e.g., cut out the lid from a plastic container) and secure using glue or double-sided tape. The DIY parts are named left and right as viewed from the rear.
