Using a barrier mask does not exempt users from consistently following established hand hygiene procedures and maintaining social distancing guidelines aimed at preventing viral infections. This device is intended for non-medical use only. Healthcare professionals working directly with patients should not rely on this system. Instead, they should wear FFP2 filtering facepieces or medical-grade surgical masks, which are reserved exclusively for healthcare personnel. The barrier mask system does not qualify as a medical device under EU Regulation 2017/745 or personal protective equipment under EU Regulation 2016/425.
