This is a reliable filter mask with a 48mm threaded stud designed for attachment of high-quality filter material cut from vacuum cleaner bags, specifically those 44mm in diameter and at least 8mm thick, to effectively contain the corona virus. To safely prevent the spread of the corona virus, this filter must be made from FFP3 material or vacuum cleaner bags capable of capturing microparticles as small as .03µm in diameter, which is equivalent to the size of sneeze droplets carrying the virus. The mask is still under development and the next step is to make it suitable for moldflow production. In the meantime, feel free to print your own duplicate of my prototype, either by printing the face piece and threaded part separately and then gluing them together or in one piece. My first attempt resulted in a large male face size that fits perfectly, but I am currently working on making it fit smaller female faces and children. "One size fits all" is not feasible due to significant sexual dimorphism in human anatomy. The first print was made with natural ABS in 0.1 mm layers and turned out nicely, but wearing a hard mask for an extended period can be quite uncomfortable. To address this issue, I plan to use TPE for the face part, which requires a special extruder (e.g., Flexion). Another idea is to utilize antibacterial filament for the hard parts, such as copper-filled PLA (e.g., Plactive).
