The Etkin 2-cup coffee dripper is a nicely designed pour over dripper. It features heavy ceramic construction, dual walls, and sloped sides.https://etkincoffee.com/products/etkin-2-cup-coffee-dripperBecause of its design, it is possible to brew this dripper as essentially no bypass and increase extraction. It is a manual process to press out the pleats of the filter. And to mitigate clogging with no-bypass brewing, some use a dispersion screen to keep the filter from contacting the bottom of the dripper.The Etkin Filter Smoosher (FS-E) is a filter negotiator that speeds up the process in several ways. First it automates smoothing of the pleats and combines it with the wetting step to stick the filter to the dripper. It also seats the filter above the bottom of the dripper so that a dispersion screen is not required. And this also allows you to use several kinds of filters, including Stagg X filters, Kalita Wave filters, and 8-12 cup filter basket filters. Most of these filters will have paper that stick above the dripper, but that doesn't affect the brew.This is similar in design to my other Filter Smoosher for the Fellow Stagg X.
