I am providing these rings here for your personal use only. You are free to print as many as you need for your own use. You must not make these to sell/trade/barter (either the printed part nor the model files). You must not create derivative objects from these models for any reason. This is a filter holder ring set that fits the DJI Phantom 3 line of quadcopters (drones). Its designed to hold the ND and CP filter set that College Geezer is selling here: http://www.phantompilots.com/threads/professionally-die-cut-nd-filters-only-2-each.67832/ There are two STL files. You only need one. I provided a second one (the one with 16 fingers, NDFilterRing2) that has a looser fit in case anyone wanted it. The one with only 8 fingers (NDFilterRing) is the one I personally use on my P3P and P3A birds and is the one I recommend you print and use. These rings are designed to hold the larger filter size that CG is selling now. However, there is a small inset in the bezel of both rings that will accept the smaller set he used to sell (now discontinued) in case you have that set. These are intended to slide over the stock UV filter DJI supplied with your Phantom. After print, the weight of both rings should be just under 2g (in abs). NOTE: Yes, the fingers are tapered. They are thicker at the end than they are at the base. This is by design. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .15mm layer height Infill: 100% Notes: Print with 10+ outer layers and 10+ top/bottom layers to force a 100% perimeter print with no infill (which you want for the base and fingers). You want the small layer height to get proper dimensions on the inset ring on the bezel for use with the smaller filters. If you do not have the smaller filters and don't plan to have any, then you can up the layer height to whatever you are comfortable with (.20mm or .30mm). No supports are needed. No raft is needed (at least I needed none). Post-Printing I would recommend NOT sanding or finishing these. The roughness of the fingers adds to its grip on the Phantom's camera filter ring to hold it in place. If you were to sand them or acetone smooth them, you might loose some of that grip. However, I have not had one fall off in flight yet.
