This filter holder lets you attach a welding glass to Nikon lenses, acting as a neutral density filter for longer shutter speeds. Affordable welding glass can make an inexpensive ND filter for photography. The required 110mm rectangular glass is used in electrical welding and costs around €3. Attaching the glass involves printing two ABS parts: one mounts to the lens and the other holds the filter. You may need to carve or glue the holder plate to fit your glass. This holder works with Nikon 18-105, 18-135, and possibly 18-70 lenses, snapping into the HB-32 lens shade mount rather than screwing onto the filter thread.
