Filter holder for 92mm fan

I designed this to harness the power of a charcoal filter, aiming to neutralize some of the noxious fumes emitted when printing with ABS. It works by circulating the air inside the enclosure through the filter, creating a more pleasant environment for printing. I opted for 3.5" square filters that are approximately 1/4" thick and specifically marketed as compost bin odor absorbers. To create this design, I began with an OpenSCAD customizable fan grill and then added walls and tabs to accommodate a slide-in activated charcoal filter. The tabs feature 45-degree slopes, ensuring they can be printed without requiring any support material. Once the design was complete, I printed it out and used screws from my 92mm fan to securely attach it to the fan's housing. With a simple slide-in motion, the filter is in place, ready to go.
