Filter for small pond pump
thingiverse
This is a filtration system for a compact pond or fountain pump, enabling direct usage in a pond and removing weeds, tadpoles, and general debris that would clog up the impeller. Note: This design is intended for pumps of a moderate size, which lack an internal filter. In contrast, really small pumps often feature an inbuilt filtration mechanism; this product targets a larger scale with a 12mm outer diameter tubular inlet and no built-in filtration system. Instructions Print this model without any support, positioning the inlet downwards as specified in the STL file. The roof's design is meant to test your printer's bridging capabilities; utilizing a head fan will aid in this process. You don't need to worry about strings forming between the holes since they'll actually enhance filter performance. The inlet is deliberately slightly undersized, so use a sharp edge to carefully scrape the interior and provide a secure twisting fit. Be cautious, however, as the filter material is relatively brittle – especially when made with PLA.
