A small, handheld filtering device connects directly to a 7mm fitting on top. Connect it to a compact water pump - I used one from my irrigation system - to strain out larger particles. To enhance its filtration capabilities and reduce the flow rate, attach a paper filter over it, securing it with a zip tie.
