USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOT APPROVED BY ANY OFFICIAL ORGANIZATION This DIY filter cartridge features a built-in socket for a Roomba i7 HEPA filter and is designed to fit onto 25mm sockets, similar to previous mask uploads. These filters can often be sourced at the local hardware store for approximately $10, or around $30 for a pack of three. The idea behind this project was inspired by the S.A.F.E system developed at the Medical University of South Carolina. For printing, recommend using PLA material with no supports and an infill setting of 15% (gyroid). Assemble the filter cartridge in a manner similar to the instructions linked above. This involves cutting out the rubber valve from a kitchen glove using a printable template. Next, superglue the top of the valve rubber, slide on the valve cover, and secure it in place with hot glue for easy removal. Finally, snap the filter into position and seal it with hot glue if desired.
