Filter Cap for ShopVac
thingiverse
This is a replacement cap for the bottom of a ShopVac filter. My dad asked me to come up with a solution because he lost the original part mysteriously. I'm sharing this in case anyone else finds themselves in the same situation. I printed it out using PLA, with a layer height of 1.6mm. You'll probably want an infill of more than 20% for stability, but be careful not to make it too rigid. The print takes some time and is quite large on the print bed, so you'll need at least a 200x200mm print area. I used my Monoprice Maker Select to get it done. Larger prints can warp badly on my printer, so I went with a raft this time (it does add a lot of extra time to the print). Don't forget to use supports when printing.
