These boxes are designed for use with aquarium filters just like the aquatlantis biobox. They're placed inside the filter in the right order. As you can see from the screenshots, each biobox contains an essential component that contributes to filtering the water mechanically, chemically, and biologically depending on its content - fiber, clay, sponge, or zeolite. This design is made according to biobox proportions so that when one element wears out, you can simply replace it with a new one instead of buying a whole new box.
