Need to clean up dust and hair from the air for something? Build a filter box out of filters. I have a couple of antminers that suck in a lot of air to cool the chips, but this air contains dust and hair that can get stuck on heatsinks and clog airflow. Putting a piece of filter material on the inlet works, but it restricts the airflow more than I want. I thought about building a chute with a furnace filter attached, but then came up with a simpler idea: build a filter box out of the filters themselves. All I needed was a bracket to hold the edges together. This design seems to work pretty well, except for one thing: there's still a small gap along the edges that lets some air bypass the filters. But it's simple and affordable. If you want a tighter grip, adjust the size of the bracket. They're designed to fit standard 1" furnace filters.
