The film rewind lever for my Pentax MV is surprisingly flimsy, and I predict it will crumble into pieces sooner rather than later. To give myself an edge, I swapped out the original lever for a knob that's been bonded securely with a shim. This new knob should allow me to wind film back nicely, though you might prefer using the old lever if you need more leverage. To see these changes in greater detail, please zoom in on them. Print Options Ribs: None at All Supports: It Doesn't Matter I approached this design with careful thought and precision. Here's how I did it. Glue a shim to a knob first Make a professional-looking finish on the knob using a file Use a screw from the original lever to secure the knob to my camera Attach some extra camera leather to the knob if you like This is all you need to do when rewinding film - just press down gently on the knob attached to the lever.
