I frequently deal with numerous types of plastic films, which often require me to assess their natural curvature. To accomplish this, I place a specific template on top of the film and carefully cut out the designated area using a sharp razor blade. Once the template is lifted, I'm able to visually inspect the MD (machine direction) and CD (cross direction) curl, gaining valuable insights into the film's inherent properties.
