Filling Module Hole Plug for Modular Hydroponic Tower
thingiverse
This thing contains 3 different plug options: 1. Flat plug - This flat plug is meant to plug the entire opening where a cable does not exit. 2. Plug with rectangle Hole - This plug is meant for anyone who has a thin cable exiting the system. It will fit a cable that is no larger than 4.5 mm X 7 mm 3. Plug with round hole - For those who have a pump with a round cable, this one is for you. This plug will fit any cable that is no larger than 8.25 mm diameter. These covers / plugs are meant to plug the 2 holes on the side of @boundarycondition's Filling Module. When the tower was assembled, the two cut holes on the side of the filling module caused a ton of water to leak out through the sides. I measured the space and created two plugs. 1 plug fully covers the entire opening, the second plug has a small notch that allows you to run a flat cable through. At the top of the second plug I created a slight gutter that keeps water from falling through the small hole by diverting the dripping water around that hole though the gutter lip. Both plugs took me about 45 minutes to print. Cover2 has a really tight tolerance to keep as much water as possible from leaking through. You'll have to push pretty hard to fully insert the cover. make sure both covers are fully inserted as far as it'll go.
