Fillet Gauge with Inset Numbers

Fillet Gauge with Inset Numbers

thingiverse

This is a quick remix of the excellent fillet gauge design created by TnaTmr at thingiverse.com/TnaTmr. The original design has raised numbers which are quite small and several commenters mentioned that they came off the tool easily. Personally, I prefer inset text/numbers on models so I opened up the STL file in 3DSMax and selected all of the vertices on the top plane, then dragged them up a couple of millimeters above the numbers. This tool is used to measure the dimensions of a rounded outside corner on an object, with Fusion360 calling this a "Fillet". The range goes from 1mm up to 12mm fillets. At each end there are additional two measurements for 3mm & 5mm inside corners. The thickness of the part when printed is 4.8mm and using 30% infill, the part uses 6.25g of filament. Note: The images aren't really representative of the final look; the flash makes it appear shiny and hard to read the numbers. It actually looks more matte black and I have no difficulty making out the numbers.
