File Holder

File Holder

thingiverse

This design is meant to attach securely to a wall or the edge of a shelf. Two units spaced evenly apart will accommodate three file folders side by side. The pre-drilled holes have a diameter of approximately 8 millimeters (1/4 inch), and the top two are positioned about 25 millimeters (just over 1 inch) apart. To make it easier to screw into a wall, I've also added holes on each prong. I used Design Spark Mechanical to create this design, so I'm providing the RSDoc file for easy modification (for instance, you can adjust the angle to hold thicker files or change the spacing of the holes). Just upload and remix it as needed. This model was printed with an Anet A8 3D printer. You may need to rotate it during printing depending on your bed size. No supports are required, and minimal infill should be sufficient. Each mounted unit measures approximately 226 millimeters high and about 73 millimeters from the wall to the farthest support point. I've personally installed four units on a metal shelf at my workplace desk, allowing me to store six file folders with great convenience.
