File Handle
thingiverse
Wear gloves to prevent burns when assembling a handle to a file. I held the file firmly in a vise and carefully heated the end with a torch until it was hot enough to melt the plastic handle slightly when pressed on. It's essential not to overheat, as this can damage the file's temper or melt the plastic into a fluid, causing serious burns. When testing the temperature, be cautious, as the result will determine whether the assembly is successful. If the handle is too cool, it will only fit partially and stop. On the other hand, if it's too hot, the handle may become ruined. Remember to exercise extreme caution during this process, as things can get very hot! Wear protective gloves and take necessary precautions to avoid serious burns from both the torch, file, and potentially the plastic handle.
