File Handle

File Handle

thingiverse

Employing a file without a handle can be hazardous due to its rapid movement and forceful contact, often in delicate areas of your hand. Handles offer greater safety and comfort; they also allow for easy hanging and prevent tools from falling through racks. Two sizes of handles are provided as STL files, but both can easily scale. To assemble the file handle, simply print and affix the star-shaped end of the file to the handle. If a permanent fix is desired, heating the spike or using adhesive may be employed; however, a simple whack usually suffices. Given its tall, thin design, a raft may be necessary for proper base adherence during printing. When printing smaller handles, consider printing in pairs to avoid blobs on slender portions.
