FilClip - Robust Filament Clip
thingiverse
I've come up with a pretty cool solution for all you 1.75m filament users out there! It's called Filclip and it's a small, fast, and easy-to-use filament clip. Before I created Filclip, I was using a clip that was constantly breaking on me. Plus, it made my filament all brittle and caused it to break when I released it. Not cool. So, my goal was to create something practical, more robust, and gentle on the filament. I'm not sure if I've hit all those marks, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The design is super simple. It's just a small rectangular prism with two holes in it. The circular hole is bigger than 1.75m and it's where you insert the filament first and then loop it around the spool. The square hole is tighter and it's where you lock the filament in place. It's all held together with friction. The different hole shapes make it super easy to know exactly where to insert your filament first. I know there are a ton of filament clips out there, but if you're looking for something new to try, give Filclip a go and let me know what you think! Hope you enjoy this model! And if you want to support me, please give it a like, download it, and share it with your friends. Thanks!
