I sought flexibility in Ian J.'s Filawinder design for my dual-filament extruder. Thus, I added adjustable gear stress with a motor mount featuring slides, a flexible LED guide sensor, and interchangeable gears in the spool hub. A knob was included for easy spool exchange. The sensor holder assembly requires custom fitting of plastic pieces. Laser and "point source" light-sensitive resistor versions are available. Gear center distance is adjustable, and a microswitch counts turns on the large gear. Electronics were redesigned with switches and pot meters on a shielded Arduino Uno PCB.
