Filastruder Vertical Hopper
thingiverse
Hopper optimized for vertical orientation, complete with automatic dump shoot.\nCircuits a generous capacity to store 1 kg of high-quality PLA pellets.\n Update 4/12/2014: I made adjustments to the files for improved printing orientation results.\nAfter two months of reliable performance, I can confidently attest that this setup has proven trouble-free so far.\nUpdate 12/28/2014 I added an extension to the shoot specifically designed for the official Filastruder housing (HopperShootForFilastruderHousing.stl). Although I do not own this casing myself, I'd be eager to receive your feedback on its performance if you've tried it.\nExtension options are available for those long runs.\n\n \n \n Assembly Instructions Every component can be printed independently without the need for supports, with one notable exception - HopperShoot.stl.\nThe base components require ABS or superior materials and I recommend utilizing walls at least 2 mm thick along with a minimum of 25% fill ratio.\nIn contrast, the other parts can be produced using PLA if desired. To ensure optimal pellet visibility, I opted for natural PLA. Printing walls at .8 mm thickness with 15% infill yielded satisfactory results.
