Filament Cleaner Unit\nThis is a device that sits between your 3D printer filament and extruder, effectively cleaning any debris before it reaches the hot end.\nI created my own version in Onshape because I wanted a design that was easier to customize.\nHow to Use the Device\nYou insert some absorbent material into the interior. Then thread the filament through the cap, through the absorbent material, out the bottom, and assemble the device. It is now effectively removing debris from the filament.\nHow to Print the Device\nI used PLA for the model in the images, printing at a medium resolution on my friend's Printrbot Simple Metal 3D printer. It should print without rafts or supports but with a brim for stability.
