I wanted a filament welder like Bart31f's, which uses heat to fuse the filament inside a PTFE tube to retain the 1.75mm diameter, but I also wanted it to be assembled in to one piece and not require mounting (though you could still screw it down if you wanted to) I printed the rail vertically to keep the tolerances tight.
