The MK7-style extruder uses a 6.5mm OD polyethylene tube to guide filament to the extrusion point. This design offers 100% reliability for extended usage. Initially, the extruder was a QU-BD model which failed to function effectively. However, after modification with a Makerbot style gear and Minimalistic Mk7 Extruder components, it now operates flawlessly; replacing the original QU-BD gear.
