Filament Tube Holder - MakerBot Replicator 2X
thingiverse
To stop the filament from unspooling and winding around the spool holder between my Replicator and the spool, I made this clip to hold the filament away from the back of the case. It seems to work really well for me and appears to be doing a good job so far. I found that when trying to put it on the tubing holder, it's essential to slot all around the holder and not just through the slots I added, as that wouldn't hold it properly in place. A little bit of filing or cutting does wonders. I printed this clip at 100% fill to give it extra strength because the clips are made of steel. It's best done with a raft and supports to make sure it comes out right. Once the printing is complete, removing the supports was no trouble at all, and I used a flat tip screwdriver to clean out the center hole pretty well. A drill could be used as an alternative if needed to ensure that Replicator tubing fits properly inside.
