Filament Trash Lid for Mason Jars

The original concept is pure brilliance, but there's no need to squander so much time and material crafting a trash can when you probably already have some spare Mason jars on hand, right? I've included two options: filament trash lid remix - regular.stl This remixed top fits perfectly for a regular-mouthed Mason jar. It features very narrow yet stiff tendrils that make it simpler to stuff in bundles of filament. I merely took the original model and leveraged OpenSCAD's CGAL capabilities to achieve success. filament trash lid - regular/wide.stl This parameterized version is a star-cut from a circle. You can tweak every aspect, and it fits wide-mouth jars as well. In practice, it differs from the first option, and I'm not entirely sure which one I prefer. I'd love to hear your ideas for enhancing these lids. They have frustrating issues like how difficult it is to get loops of filament in (of course, they don't let them out easily). Tip: Use tweezers to push them in instead of your fingers. Ideas for improvement: Maybe a funnel-like lid with triangular tendrils would be more effective: Easier to push things in, harder for them to come out.
