I've been using the Tevo included filament holder with great success for PLA, PETG, and ABS prints. However, TPU presented a unique challenge. The stock support caused excessive drag, leading to inconsistent filament stretching and surface finish issues. To address this problem, I designed a simple bushing that fits onto the stock filament support. This bushing allows the filament reel to rotate freely while maintaining just enough friction to prevent it from unrolling on its own. My bushing is made of PLA and 15% infill provides sufficient strength.
