Filament storage shelf

Filament storage shelf

I needed a standalone shelf to organize the filament spools stored in our local Makers Space (I'm crazy about my Library!). I couldn't find what I wanted, but got some random ideas. So, I designed this one in Tinkercad. This design is made to use dowels or PVC, cut to the desired length and glued into place. Holes are 24mm in diameter. Middle supports were also created for anyone making longer shelves. The star was added just because it looks great. However, it can also be used as a guide. I designed it so that one star is on the forward section of each shelf part. There's also part x without stars if you don't like them. To print this design, all you need are two bottoms (pick your pair) and two tops (pick your pair), plus one middle top and bottom if you plan to have a long shelf. The shelf is not completed yet, but it will be soon - pictures of the printed and completed project will come out shortly.
