This elevates the original in several key aspects. The base expands for enhanced stability. The upper section also broadens to keep the spool precisely centered. A lead-in chamfer is incorporated for inserting the dowel with ease. Additionally, a pilot feature tops off the design to seamlessly interface with desiccant cages. Oh yeah, there are also desiccant cages stacked along the dowel to securely hold desiccant packets in place. These maintain the filament stack's alignment and neatly hold small desiccant packets, offering a much tidier setup than larger packets dumped into the bottom of the bucket I used previously.
