To prevent my filament spools from sliding off the holder and causing printer jams, I installed a Tension Nut (available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:116872). In the picture, you can see it in place. The nut was printed using ABS on a flat bed with no supports and a .3mm layer height, boasting 100% infill.
