Filament Spool Washer Bushing for 8mm Threaded Rod
thingiverse
I'm new to 3D printing and my first roll of filament is a 1/2kg roll of AIO brand black PLA. The inner part measures 51mm in diameter. My Anet A8 spool holder works, but the filament likes to get tangled up everywhere. I designed a custom spool holder from didesign's great design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1743397) to solve this problem, but it didn't come with the washers I needed. I'm not sure if 51mm is a standard size for filament, so I just used that measurement and added some round cutouts to reduce material usage. My design skills are still developing, so these cutouts were the best I could do at this time. I really like didesign's washer design on their page, but my version works fine. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8-B Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.30 Infill: 15% Notes: You can print at 0.20 if you prefer, but 0.30 works well and is faster. Post-Printing: The spool should be designed to allow the Anet A8 threaded rod to move smoothly. If it doesn't work correctly, use a 5/16" drill bit to enlarge the hole. Design Process: I used 123 Design to create this project.
