UPDATE 2015-07-23: Now you can vacuum seal your filament AND hang it simultaneously. Check out my innovative vacuum-seal end cap here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:939583 I was dissatisfied with the available filament spool wall hangers, so I designed and created my own. It also works flawlessly for headphones and other items that can be hung up. Two lengths are available: 75mm for standard depth spools and 105mm for wide spools like BuMat brand. The hanger pole is set at a deliberate 2.2 percent incline to ensure the spool remains secure in place. The small diameter of the pole allows you to keep most spool spacers attached while hanging (for example, my Printrbot Simple Metal Spool Spacers shown here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:322923). Secure with two #12 screws and anchors. The holes are precisely sized for #12 screws and countersunk for #12 screw heads. These work well from Home Depot: http://thd.co/1TvK3MI. I recommend printing at a .2mm layer height, using 15 percent or more infill and four vertical shell perimeters (for added strength). No supports are required.
