Filament spool wall bracket
thingiverse
I wanted to create a custom wall mount for my various spools of filament. I'd seen several bracket-and-stick approaches, but they always had the drawback of requiring me to remove the entire set just to access the one inevitably stuck in the middle. To solve this problem, I designed a print bracket that allows standard 20cm reels to be stacked on a wall using a bracket at each end of the spool. The brackets feature two slots, making it easy to add additional brackets at suitable intervals and support multiple spools. The distance between the brackets is determined by the width of the spool you want to mount. One potential disadvantage over the bracket-and-stick approach is that supporting many different widths of spools can be challenging since the brackets are fixed to the wall at specific separations. However, for me, using only a couple of specific filament suppliers means all my spools have the same width. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Print with the wall side facing down and without supports. It takes about 4 hours to print on my Prusa.
